Avila Valley Barn, on Avila Beach Drive in San Luis Obispo, has been a Central Coast institution since 1985, pairing an open-air market with seasonal pick-your-own fields. Visitors can pick olallieberries and other berries in early summer, peaches and nectarines in midsummer, apples in fall, and pumpkins in October. The farm also features tractor-pulled hayrides, a petting zoo, and a bakery known for its pies and fudge.
