Presented by the Omnira Institute, the Oakland Black-Eyed Pea Festival is a free community celebration honoring the black-eyed pea and African American cultural heritage in the San Francisco Bay Area. The event features traditional music spanning blues, gospel, and New Orleans-style second-line, alongside soul food, children's activities, and handmade arts and crafts from vendors of African descent. The festival reached its 10th anniversary in 2025 and continues to draw the community in 2026.
