Held every Father's Day since 1951, the Silverton Hills Strawberry Festival celebrates the area's berry-growing heritage with strawberry shortcake — biscuits, Oregon strawberries, and ice cream — served in shady Coolidge-McClaine City Park. Admission is free, live music plays through the afternoon, and shortcake runs $8 (or 2 for $15), with free servings for kids 2 and under and adults 80 and over. Presented by Homer Davenport Community Festivals.
