Chileno Valley Ranch, run by fifth-generation farmer Sally Gale and her husband Mike, opens its 400 apple trees for U-pick on Sundays in September and October. Visitors pick organically grown apple varieties like Orin, Pinova, Candy Crisp, and Jonagold, plus pears, then can tour the ranch to meet the grass-fed cattle and sheep. A $10-per-family admission must be pre-booked online, with apples and pears at $2 per pound.
Seasons and hours change with the weather and the crop — always check the farm's site before you go. Last verified June 24, 2026.
