Noble Orchards in Paradise has grown apples on "The Ridge" in the Sierra Nevada foothills since 1921 and is the last remaining apple orchard in Butte County. Visitors can pick their own apples straight from the tree during U-pick events running roughly September through March, choosing from up to 17 varieties including Pink Lady, Fuji, Granny Smith, Golden Delicious, and heirlooms. A farm stand on Pentz Road and a presence at the Chico farmers' market round out their offerings; check their Facebook page for current hours and fruit availability.
