After the original 65-year-old nonprofit dissolved in 2025, the Castroville Coalition is reviving the famed Artichoke Festival, the world's premier celebration of the thistle that made Castroville the "Artichoke Center of the World." The 2026 event returns to Castroville on September 5 with food vendors, artichoke dishes, and family entertainment. A second, larger festival is also planned for later in the fall.
