Historic Kirchem Farm, established in 1890 along the Clackamas River and the old Oregon Trail, opens on October weekends with fields of heirloom pumpkins, squash, gourds, and hulless-seed Pepitas pumpkins picked right off the vine. Weather permitting, visitors can catch cowboys on horseback, wagon rides, antique tractors, a children's hay maze, and a play structure, with the Grizzley Grill food cart and old-fashioned cider on site. The farm is a Mt. Hood Territory Harvest Trail passport stop and returns in late November and December for u-cut Christmas trees.
Seasons and hours change with the weather and the crop — always check the farm's site before you go.
