Hermiston Melon Fest celebrates the town's signature watermelon harvest with free slices of locally grown melon, live music, local vendors, a classic car and hot rod show, and crowd-favorite contests on downtown Festival Street. The headline event is the bathtub races, where teams of three sprint wheeled bathtubs head-to-head down the street in a tournament bracket. Hosted by Hermiston Parks & Recreation, the festival runs 9am to 2pm and admission is free.
