Hentze Family Farm has worked the same ground outside Junction City since 1902, and it shows in the lineup: pie cherries pitted on site, sweet corn and green beans cut and snipped to order, apples pressed into fresh cider, and walnuts and hazelnuts cracked in-house. The seasonal farmstand runs Friday through Sunday from early June, alongside The Cook Shack serving farm-fresh food. U-pick offerings rotate with the harvest — cherries and apples in season, and pumpkins during the farm's annual OctoberFest, which adds tractor rides and fresh apple cider to the mix.
