James' Organic Blueberries is a small u-pick farm on Methodist Road in Hood River, certified organic by Oregon Tilth. Six heirloom blueberry varieties grow on bushes roughly 50 years old, and the child-friendly farm keeps chickens and turkeys that visitors can see. The picking season typically runs from around July 4 through early August, with the patch open Wednesday through Sunday from 8am to dusk. Payment is cash or check; dogs are not permitted.
