The Nelson family has grown u-pick blueberries on this one-acre Parkdale-area farm since 1978, where volcanic soils and the upper Hood River Valley climate yield four to five tons of berries a year. The bushes are grown without sprays, buckets and bags are provided, and the patch is known for one of the best views of Mt. Hood around. The season typically runs mid-July through August, daily 8am-5pm. Pets are not allowed among the bushes.
