Hentze Family Farm, farming in Junction City since 1902, marks cherry harvest each summer with its annual cherry festival, featuring cherry cobbler, black cherry ice cream made from Grandma's recipe, and cherry lemonade. The fourth-generation farm runs a seasonal farmstand and Cook Shack (opening June 6 for 2026), offers u-pick and bulk produce, and operates one of the area's few cherry pitters. In fall it hosts an Octoberfest with tractor rides, u-pick pumpkins, and a jack-o'-lantern-lit night trail.
