Hoffman Farms Store, a six-generation family farm at 22242 SW Scholls Ferry Rd outside Beaverton, opens its fields for u-pick strawberries (Hood, Albion, Mary's Peak, Tillamook, and Puget Crimson varieties) in early June, followed through summer by raspberries, tayberries, blueberries, marionberries, blackberries, and boysenberries — all priced at $2.50 per pound. The farm store sells ready-picked berries, freshly baked pies, and strawberry milkshakes, with picnic tables and a kids' playground on site. In fall the farm runs a pumpkin patch, 10-acre corn maze, and Scholls Valley Railroad train rides.
