Mt. Angel's annual Hazelnut Fest fills the town's Festhalle for a weekend each early December, honoring the Willamette Valley's status as the heart of American hazelnut country. Browse roasted, candied, and chocolate-covered hazelnuts and other local nut products alongside craft and artisan vendors, with Oregon beers and wines on hand. Admission is free, the whole event is indoors, and it makes an easy holiday-season pairing with nearby Silverton. Now over a decade old, it's run by the Mt. Angel Chamber of Commerce. 2026 dates were not yet announced as of June 2026; the festival has run the first weekend of December in recent years (Dec 5-7 in 2025).
