Farmageddon Growers' Collective farms just over an acre of city land split between northwest and southeast Portland, growing vegetables, flowers, and herbs as a collectively run operation. The collective states its growing standard plainly: no slaughterhouse byproducts — no blood meal, no bone meal — and no chemical inputs anywhere in the system, with Oregon Tilth organic certification backing the chemical-free side of that promise. Everything it grows is sold direct, and the market stall is the front door: the collective vends at the People's Food Co-op Farmers' Market in southeast Portland on Wednesday afternoons, one of the city's rare year-round weekly markets, and appears on the market's current vendor season. It is also woven into Portland's vegan community beyond the market — most recently as a named charity partner of Veganizer PDX's World Vegan Month in late 2025. For anyone who wants to see a working vegan market farm and buy from the people who grew the food, a Wednesday visit to the co-op market is the way in.
